The ranch on the right, in particular, has free space and extra tiles for a few reservoirs, sieves, compost piles, etc. Both ranches are exactly 96 tiles, with a few spare tiles at the top if you want to add platforms for a few machines or move things around. Space/labor efficient! The entire thing fits in a 24x16 block (for those that really like regular grids), and produces slime/algae equivalent to 25 groomed adult Pufts, while only needing the labor to groom 12.The rails are the only part that have the possibility of a mistake that isn't visually obvious (like two lines getting crossed behind some machine). Fool proof! There's no automation, and no priorities to be set (literally everything is at 5).The only dupe labor required is grooming, wrangling, critter-dropoff, and eggshell crushing. Everything (except the Rock Crusher) is actually impossible for bored dupes to pick as a delivery task because they're either not enabled for manual access or literally not accessible to dupes. Self servicing! There are no auto-sweepable deliveries that must be made by dupe.If a Puft hatches early, it just stays in the hatchery (trussed, usually) until a slot opens up in the chamber for it. The unpowered incubators spit out a new adult Puft/Puft Prince every 12.5 cycles (on average), which is enough to keep the adult population at around 6. Any Pufts that are dropped in the wrong room by careless dupes are automatically wrangled and put where they belong. Self regulating! Once you build it, it requires no manual intervention.Pufts and slime are never taken outside, so there's no opportunity for slime offgassing in your oxygen areas or for dupes going off-shift to drop a Puft in an unfortunate spot. Self contained! PW and power go in, algae, lime, and meat come out (each on their own rail).\"space efficient\" is really just a nice way of saying \"cramped\" This may be an unnecessary build guide, since ranching regular Pufts is the easiest version of Puft ranching, and is fairly easy to do, but I wanted to share this nice version of a Puft ranch which minimized dupe labor and fit all the processing buildings neatly inside.
